Yoshio Ikeda
Founder & CEO, Start Innovation Inc.
He has worked on corporate transformation and business growth from three positions: strategy consulting, startup management, and independent advisory work.
Began his career at ABeam Consulting, working on group strategy, consolidated management and accounting systems for large Japanese corporations.
Joined the Strategy group of Accenture, working on M&A, new business development, organizational reform and BPR.
Co-founded a venture company as a director, leading a media business for affluent consumers from launch through sales, fundraising and growth. Raised approximately ¥500 million and built one of Japan’s largest platforms for affluent consumers. Also established an investment advisory subsidiary, led the acquisition of a Hong Kong securities firm, and managed group operations.
Founded Start Innovation in 2014. Works on CVC investment, new business development, corporate strategy and startup growth. At the CVC of a major IT services company, was involved in investments of approximately ¥1 billion in total and supported portfolio SaaS startups hands-on. Creates business opportunities that connect large corporations and startups.
